Bedroom ideas: trends we’re loving

Bedrooms are an important space in our homes; a sanctuary where we sleep. We’ve done a roundup of our favourite luxe looks with interior stylist Katey from Home Restyler to help YOU achieve your perfect bedroom:

Shades of Blue:

Rich emeralds and blues are the in colours for 2017. Experiment with these shades in cushions and throws to add warmth and texture to your bedroom. Centring a statement rug in front of your bed, plus matching bedside tables that frame your bed will give your bedroom a real look of luxury. Keep accessories consistent within your bedroom; silver accents within table lamps, trays and candles will complement the rich jewel tones. If you want to add a feminine touch use silk flowers to decorate which have the look of real flowers but even better they don’t need watering.

A Touch of Scandi:

Add Scandi style furniture such as a side table and dressing table with those iconic clean lines for a stylish scandi look. Contrast chevron patterns with on trend pinks and greys which are particularly appealing for a bedroom as they promote feelings of calm and relaxation. A touch of copper will add both the personality and warmth that you don’t want missing from your bedroom.

Modern Pinks:

Layer up different textures this season with soft pinks and purples for a contemporary feel. Striking abstract art that picks out the colours in your cushions and bedding will give for a perfectly coordinated bedroom. Finishing the look with a striking silk rug will not only give a luxurious look, but act as a treat for your just-got-out-of-bed feet.

Earthy Tones:

On trend earthy tones like terracotta and burnt orange will add warmth to any bedroom.  Don’t be afraid to go for bold furniture; statements pieces with a 70’s vibe will really complement the earthy tones. To add a modern and luxurious feel to your bedroom try a statement table lamp and abstract art, plus add texture and depth with a chunky rug, cushions and mohair throws.
